The Fiat 500L is a compact minivan, contrived in Serbia by FAC Srbija, and gained global market positioning after its first appearance at the 2012 Motor Show in Geneva. The van was designed as a five-door car, with the capacity to accommodate five passengers, with a front-engine type, and front-wheel drive, having a high-roof B-segment. The model name “500L”, according to FAC Srbija, was derived as an increased length from the original widely known 500 models that were produced in 1957. Thereby the suffix L denotes “large.”
The reconfigurable interior system makes Fiat 500L considered as Cargo magic Space, for it is renowned as a high H-point seating, having a steep roof, and a tall greenhouse, which gives a wide field of visibility. The 500L uses Fiat’s Multiair variable valve timing engine technology and mono volume cab-forward architecture: a packaging concept that prioritizes passenger and cargo volume.
Fiat commenced advertising a lengthened 7-seat variant in 2013. In the model year 2018, the 500L received a standard facelift, with revised front and rear fascias along with ICE – In-car entertainment – updates and interior revisions.
